Bike Tour: The Særslev Route
The Særslev Route takes you on a 31 km ride, thought the beautiful forests of North Funen's, golden rapeseed fields, idyllic villages and pretty meadows. The route has 50 m ascend and 50 m descend.
This suggestion for a nice bike ride takes you through North Funen's beautiful forests, golden rapeseed fields, idyllic villages and pretty meadows.
You will go past the forest Fredskoven in Bogense, the meadow Ålebækengen with unique nature, the impressive castle Gyldensteen and the forest at Gyldensteen and of course the old village, which is named after the route, namely Særslev, which is still an active village with a beautiful church, a village pond and beautiful, well-kept buildings. You also pass the old, pretty villages of Hårslev and Ejlskov and pass the plant and rose nurseries at Huggetvej, before you are back in Bogense.
The trip is 31 km in total and offers a 50 m ascent and 50 m descent.
